I've already got one Livejournal, The Iron-On Line. So why do I need a second one?

The answer is, of course, I don't. I just thought it would be fun. I don't need, in the strictest sense of the word, a motorbike, a DVD of Boys Don't Cry or a season ticket to Scunthorpe United, but I'm taking steps to get all three because I think having them would improve the quality of my life.

By the same token, I think having a second Livejournal would improve the quality of my life. The Iron-On Line is a place where I can rant about life, politics and football; Travelling Hopefully is going to be somewhere to post updates about the creative things I'm getting up to.

This is where all my snippets will go from now on, along with any short stories I want to show off to my friends, recipes I want to share and updates about what interesting creative things I've been up to.

Most of this won't be available to the wider public. I want to protect the first rights in anything I might have a chance of selling later. And if I don't think I have a chance of selling it, it's probably too embarrassing to be read by anyone I don't trust. Therefore most of the entries will be friends-only.
